Abilr Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Abilr. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the services provided by Abilr.
1. Definitions
Platform: Abilr’s website, mobile applications, and associated systems.
Client: A user who requests and pays for services on the platform.
Freelancer/Technician: A user who offers services on the platform.
Premium Account: Paid subscription offering additional features and benefits.
Pro Account: A higher-tier subscription offering advanced tools and early access to leads.
2. Account Types and Access
Users must register with accurate personal and professional information.
Freelancers and clients may choose between free, Premium, or Pro accounts.
Abilr reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms.
3. Platform Communication Policy
All communication between users must remain within the platform. Any attempt to circumvent this using keywords like “WhatsApp,” “Telegram,” or similar will be automatically flagged. Messages may be censored, and repeated violations can lead to warnings, temporary bans, or account termination.
4. Monetization and Fees
4.1 For Clients:
A flat 6.5% service fee will be charged on top of the total service price. Example: If a service costs $1,000 MXN, the client pays $1,065 MXN.
4.2 For Freelancers:
Freelancers retain 100% of their listed service fee. However, payment processing fees may apply depending on the selected payment method (see Section 8).
Freelancers with free accounts will see ads; Premium and Pro freelancers will enjoy an ad-free experience.
4.3 Premium and Pro Plans:
- Premium Account: $99 MXN/month or $950 MXN/year. Includes verified badge, profile visibility boost, and priority in search results.
- Pro Account: $199 MXN/month or $1,920 MXN/year. Includes all Premium benefits plus analytics, early access to client leads, and business opportunities.
- Client Pro (B2B): $199 MXN/month or $1,900 MXN/year. Includes bulk booking tools, invoicing, account management, and early access to premium talent.
Plan prices and details are available on the pricing page and may be updated periodically.
5. Advertisement Policy
Advertisements will be shown only to freelancers with free accounts.
Users with Premium or Pro accounts will not see any third-party ads.
6. Cancellation and Penalties
Cancellations by freelancers or clients that occur outside the allowed cancellation window will result in a financial penalty, deducted automatically or billed.

7. Dispute Resolution
Abilr provides a structured in-platform dispute resolution system.
Clients and freelancers can submit claims and evidence; an Abilr admin will mediate and decide fairly.

8. Payment Terms
All transactions must be conducted through the platform.
Abilr supports two main payment methods:
- Stripe (Card Payments): Subject to a 3.6% + $3 MXN processing fee.
- SPEI (Bank Transfers via STP/Conekta): Subject to an estimated 1% processing fee.
Freelancer payouts are processed via secure methods after service completion and may vary depending on the selected method.
9. Future Services (Abilr Academy & Certifications)
Abilr plans to introduce a learning and certification program called Abilr Academy in future versions.
These features are not yet available in the MVP but will enhance user credibility and earnings potential once launched.
10. Limitation of Liability
Abilr is not responsible for disputes, losses, or damages incurred from user-to-user interactions. Users accept full responsibility for their behavior and compliance with legal standards.
11. Updates
These terms may be updated. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
